World War II

My 25mm WWII project started because of the great figures put
out by Wargames Foundry…I just had to have them! Sadly, this appears
to be yet another range of figures that they will never finish. So I’ve
moved on to use Battle Honors which are a bit smaller, but are pretty good
figures at a good price. The rest of the 25mm WWII that I add to my collection
are likely to be Battle Honors as they have quite an extensive line. I painted
the German Paras, though I know the camo could have been much better. “Evil”
Kevin painted the British Paras for me and the pictures don’t do them
justice…excellent figures. And in yet another project that I didn’t
have time for, the regular British infantry were sent to Fernando Enterprises
in Sri Lanka and came out rather nice.
I’ve used these figures with Battleground WWII, BAPS and a Necromunda
WWII variation. 25mm is a great scale for low-level skirmish games. The project
currently consists of a squad with extra support weapons and command of German
Paras, a squad with extra support weapons and command of British Paras, and
a platoon of British infantry.
25MM WORLD WAR II March 2006 Update
This update completes this project for me. The only thing I
might add from here on out are some more buildings and terrain pieces. There
are additions to the Germans and British and an entirely new Finnish force
in this update.
