This was my first 25mm project. I currently have 101 painted
figures that are a mix of black undercoated and “dipped” figures.
They mix pretty well together. All of the figures are named and used for an
Old West skirmish game that I concocted with a lot of help from the NorthPhoenixIrregulars.
I’ve used the rules to run games with as many as 12 players and close
to 60 figures in play at once…not bad considering the game is driven
by individual character (not group) activation. Whenever I run this game,
there are lots of laughs and plenty of “dead”. See the Rules section
of this site for “The Good, The Bad, and the Dead.”
The only thing I have considered adding to this collection is more mounted
figures. I have a ton of accessories including walls, fences, boardwalks,
a windmill, a bunch of graves for the cemetery, etc. The buildings I have
are a combination of ERTL plastics that I’ve painted up and some wooden
ones created by one of our local “terrain guys” (you know, the
guys that can look at something and then go make it in their workshop) Neil.
More information on the buildings and terrain will be available in the Terrain
section.
