Roman Legions, Auxilia, and Cavalry: 1st Corps
Roman Archers and Bolt-Shooters: Old Glory
Shield/Standard Decals: Dark Age Design
Painting: Tom O. and Fernando Enterprises
Basing: John G.
I put this army together after going to Brookhurst hobbies in LA. They had a great sale on EIR troops from 1st Corps. Next thing I knew, I had an army. I sent these off to get painted and upon their return, I did some more detail work, painted the horses, and decaled the shields. This army hasn’t seen battle yet, and can be quite a challenge to play (I’ve faced EIR armies before), but I look forward to using it soon. The nice thing is that I have plenty of supporting troops that I can incorporate into this army already units from my other armies, such as the Numidians and Guals in my Carthaginian army. The Old Glory archers and artillery mix just fine with the 1st Corps figures.
I also have to give high praise to Dark Age Design for their shield decals.
They look great!
The army consists of: 20 skirmishing infantry archers, 3 units of 16 legion
infantry, 1 unit of 15 legion infantry, 2 units of 16 auxilia infantry, 2
units of 10 auxilia cavalry, 2 bolt-shooters with 2 crew each, a General,
and an Army Standard Bearer.
